Featuring floral decorations in aqua, this earthenware pot was an experiment in a technique where I applied wax resist to the outside surface of the vessel at greenware stage. I then carved the illustration through this and applied coloured underglaze overtop. Where the wax remained the colours burnt away. Finished in a clear glaze.
Every piece of pottery I make is unique in its own little way - a bit like you and me! Some of my work has a family and may look similar to others, but no two are identical. Slight variations in size and glaze finish can be expected. Hand made or wheel thrown, trimmed, dried, decorated, glazed and then photographed - when you purchase one of my works, you will receive the item in the picture.
